Cashew Nut Butter Recipe

This is my favourite healthy spread. It's perfect for anyone who cannot eat dairy products (like me). This is an eczema-friendly version of Cashew Nut Butter, which is also free of gluten, egg, salicylates and amines (if using raw cashews, not roasted). I have added fine calcium powder for acid-alkaline balance (nuts are acidic and some types of calcium are highly alkaline). If you are sensitive to nuts... see my Sesame-free hummus recipe as it is nut-free.  Ingredients 1 cup raw cashews (soaked, drained, rinsed) 1/2 teaspoon fine quality sea salt (or to taste) 2 scoops fine calcium powder Skin Friend PM (optional,...

Parsley Pesto and Sesame-Free Hummus

recipe

Parsley Pesto and Sesame-Free Hummus

Makes 2 small jars; preparation time 10 minutes This delicious protein-rich, alkalising spread is from The Eczema Detox book. Spread it onto plain rice crackers or use as a dip for vegies sticks. It’s great on sourdough toast and sandwiches, or add it to gluten-free pasta for a quick meal. Eat in moderation ... this dip can be quite addictive! Parsley Pesto is not suitable if you have a nut allergy. Ingredients 1 large bunch parsley 1/3 cup rice bran oil (see notes) 1 cup unsalted raw cashews (roasted cashews contain salicylates and amines) 2 tablespoons filtered water freshly minced garlic...
